~J-Mac is a Portuguese-Spanish mother tongue young female artist.
Born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and alphabetized in Montevideo (Uruguay) and now living in Italy (first in Florence, then in Trento), she has a particular taste for photography and writing where the same criteria strikes all the time: THE DETAIL!
A lot of traveling, walking and patience breaks the cliché-postcards-pictures. Oh, and a bit of post-production (no photo manipulation, just retouching) with Photoshop CS3 if necessary (curves, hue/saturation, shadow/lighting, filters)
With a Nikon Coolpix P3 pocket digital camera she made almost all pictures featuring here, underlining the fact that a good eye doesn't need a excellent camera!

Idle art: From October 2009. Cause: University of Translators and Interpreters (2009-2011). Julia wishes she had more time to expand her Nikon D90 boundaries. She took some pictures in the Venice Carnival 2010 and she's willing to submit them (:

Philosophy: "I see the beauty in the small things of the daily life and I don't need any substance to realize that."
Movies: Alvodóvar's, Cohen Bros.' & Allen's. Conceptual & cult.
Music: From '60 until today, alternative, alternative dance, blues, classic, dance, electropop, electrotango, eurodance, funk, glam-rock, grunge, house, industrial, metal, new wave, oldies, pop, post-punk, rock, synthpop, tango, trip-pop.
Not: Country, cumbia, death, funkey, punk, reggae, sertanejo.
Type of people she enjoys: Outgoing, alternative, extrovert, goofy, cult, power gamer, curious, green/Earth conscience.
One amazing thing she have seen: "Venice. I was dreaming all my life to visit it."
Inspiration: Most of her favorites and deviants she watches + moods + music + films + love. If she were a subscriber she would promote other deviants.
